Together with our university partners ULB and UMONS, we are dedicated to supporting research and development activities of biotech and pharma companies by providing innovative R&D services, including pre-clinical and molecular imaging, pre-clinical research support, flow cytometry and immuno-monitoring, next generation sequencing, drug formulation, and metabolomics and proteomics research.
The specific R&D platforms are:
Is an integrated high-performance platform for preclinical biomedical imaging including, microscopy (fluorescence ,digital holography, electron and cryo-EM microscopy), Immunohistochemistry biomarker validation, in vivo imaging (PET-CT, SPECT, MRI, Optical and Photoacoustic imaging), multimodal image processing.
Is a flow cytometry and immuno-monitoring platform for various applications including, molecular biology, immuno-oncology, cell therapy, cell biology, infectiology, cell proliferation, MHC dextramer technology, drug discovery, multiparametric phenotyping, cell sorting etc.
Is a next generation sequencing platform performing a multitude of Massive Parallel Sequencing and Array tests including whole genome and exome sequencing, gene panels and NIPT
Is an analytical platform of the Faculty of Pharmacy offering formulation development services for pharmaceuticals.
Is an advanced NMR and mass spectrometry service platform involving complex biological matrices for the identification and validation of biomarkers in metabolomics and proteomics approaches.
The pre-clinical platform offers fully equipped specific pathogen free housing facilities and preclinical development knowhow.
The Technology Transfer Office of ULB (ULB-TTO) promotes collaborative research and business development between the university and its external partners, and stimulates local and regional development.
ULB-TTO supports the identification of commercial applications of academic, fundamental, or applied research in science and technology, life sciences and social sciences.
The ULB-TTO team has experience in technology, business, law and communication, and offers easy access to the scientific skills of ULB, promotion of opportunities for technology transfer and research partnerships as well as custom support to researchers and entrepreneurs in the creation of spin-offs.
