Mission Description

  • Responsibility for coordination/management of overall landscape of Catalent’s offering to the business segment and how that translates to short-term business performance and long-term strategy.
  • Subject Matter Expert with respect to offering, capabilities and business processes within the Plasmids business segment and presenting these to our customers.
  • Representative for the commercial team to site S&OP process providing guidance on overall pipeline/demand for specific products (in-coordination with BD leadership), maintaining updated revenue forecasts and guiding BD on the opportunities that will help meet our revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with site operational team(s) to maximize revenue generation from existing capacity and build business cases for capacity expansion and implementation of additional capabilities as needed
  • Daily liaison with the BD and PM functions to support business development and track delivery of proposals and overall program delivery at the site; support the transition of projects from BD to PM; secure additional and repeat business from existing customers; ensure a positive customer experience at the site.
  • Work with our Marketing and Product Development teams to analyse our portfolio for gaps, monitor the industry for new capabilities and technologies, to ensure Catalent continues to be the leader in Cell and Gene Therapy.
  • Accountable for contracting processes, in conjunction with Legal, Commercial team and Upper Management, including leading the negotiations of Service Agreements with our customers.
  • Other duties as assigned

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant science or engineering discipline strongly preferred. (Advanced degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry within medical device testing, manufacturing, quality, project management, business management, business development, commercial operations
  • Relevant industry knowledge of cell & gene therapy, plasmids, engineering, and expansion in a cGMP setting preferred.
  • Experienced deal maker in project-based organizations with proficient negotiation skills
  • Understanding of legal agreements
