EHS Safety Leader (Level 2 or equivalent) (H/F/X)

Mission Description

The Role

  • Within the Environment, Health, Safety (EHS) department, supports the program of safety culture, the application and the respect of the Belgian legislation, Catalent standards by providing expertise in the following areas:
  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve EHS programs and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation and Catalent standards
  • Analyse risks in projects, introduction of new technologies and changes
  • Identify, analyse and advise management on workplace risks
  • Involved in the emergency plan and in the local response section
  • Define the EHS rules and procedures for technical tasks and activities of subcontractors
  • Participate in the reception of work equipment
  • Continually improve processes through the analysis of incidents and accidents, and the identification and follow-up of corrective actions
  • Establish safety/environmental communication campaigns, disseminate them and present them to staff
  • Manage health, safety and environmental training for internal and external staff
  • Ensure the administrative management of the EHS department
  • As an expert, conduct internal audits

Candidate profile

 

  • Bachelor's degree in electromechanics, electricity, (bio)chemistry, environment or related experience
  • Field player, with experience in the world of pharmaceutical production
  • Level 2 safety advisor (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 is an advantage
  • Open to new technologies
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office tools
  • Very good knowledge in French
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Able to communicate easily with all levels of the company hierarchy (written and verbal skills)
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and have the ability to follow up on implementations
  • Customer orientation, autonomy, teamwork and initiative
