Mission Description

The HR Specialist is a contributor to create added-value and build loyalty to the company by developping and administrating training programmes for all employees, assessing training and development needs for the organisation, helping individuals and groups to develop skills and knowledge, developing a wide variety of training methods, creating training manuals, presenting in-person training sessions and monitoring training for effectiveness.
Training Specialist responsibilities include enhancing employees’ skills, performance, productivity and quality of work.

Training needs

  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers or administering surveys
  • Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
  • Works with managers to address learning issues, instruction problems, or new educational needs regarding specific employees or departments

Training development

  • Oversee the training in all key areas as Operations, PPD, QA, Supply Chain,…
  • Identify future training needs and create curriculum to facilitate that training
  • Search for gaps in training material or content that should be filled to ensure safety, quality and productivity among staff members
  • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them
  • Specialise in our particular biopharma and viral vectors industry and keep current on the activities and needs of that industry by attending regular meetings, conferences, and seminars

Training tools

  • Deplop a wide variety of training methods
  • Research new training materials and supplies that might enhance our training procedures and provide value to our employees
  • Manage training budget
  • Oversee training programmes that include web-based seminars, printed manuals, group sessions, training videos, and more
  • Review existing training materials produced by third parties to determine appropriateness and relevance
  • Modify or create course materials and training manuals to meet specific training needs
  • Manage costs for all programmes, productions, and publications in order to report to organisation executives regarding a return on investment
  • Maintain understanding of new educational and training techniques and methods

Competencies Management

  • Assess employees’ skills, talents, performance and productivity and prepare written evaluations with advice for improvement
  • Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions
  • Provide opportunities for ongoing development

Training animation

  • On-board new hires and assign them to training sessions
  • Communicate with team members, trainers and management to ensure all needs are met
  • Present in-person and online training sessions or delegate qualified personnel to do so
  • Schedule training sessions, organize information technology and other equipment, and manage course enrolment

Reporting

  • Monitors training programmes and manuals to ensure that they are effective and up-to-date and makes updates as necessary
  • Define KPI and keep it up to date
  • Ensure the weekly and monthly reporting (Human resources included)

Operational Excellence

  • Apply tools and methods defined by Novasep Group
  • Make suggestions for process and procedures improvements
  • Complete perfomance indicators
  • Be an active participant to the AIC
  • Apply and support the 5S within the company 

Safety

  • Respect and make respect security and biosecurity rules and regulations 

Quality

  • Guaranty the quality of the documentation
  • Respect the quality system deployed on the site
  • Represent te company to lead audits for the training fields

To ensure all other mission in his/her competencies field when needed or asked by his/her hierarchy.

Candidate profile

  • Baccalauréat degree in education, human resources, biosciences or relevant field
  • Proven work experience as a training specialist or manager depending on the size of the company
  • Track record in designing and executing successful training programs
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)
  • Bilingual French/English (written and spoken)
  • Easy practice of MS Office Suite (Word/Excel/Access)
