Mission Description


The Production Manager main role is to manage several project leaders in the Production Department.

Production Manager is concerned directly with the resource management, process specifications of each project, as well as the organization, documentation and procedures which ensure the master planning and quality of the product. Production Manager is not confined to laboratory operations, but must be involved in all decisions which may concern the organization of the production department in general and the project management also. 

Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

  • People Management/communication:
  • Support the project supervisor when needed
  • Supervises and participates in individual development of his/her N-1.
  • Performs 1/1 to discuss N-1 issues and achievements.
  • Ensures human well-being by a good private/professional life balance while preserving team spirit and good work atmosphere.
  • Recruits, anticipate, leads and develops a part of the production Team 
  • Ensures right people at the right place at the right time and appropriate polyvalence/expertise ratio in a flexible environment. 
  • Ensures that personnel’s training from each project is adequate and adapted to MaSTherCell’s needs.
  • Maintains opened and effective communication with all other departments
  • Drives the empowerment culture.
  • Accountable for overall metrics and performance of team
  • Accountable for the timely completion of investigations that prevent reoccurrence
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of Operational Excellence
  • Develops and Drives team objectives, direction & priorities

Candidate profile

Education & Experience

  • At least 5 years experience in a cGMP biopharmaceutical environment, including at least 2 years people management.
  • Familiar with Operational Excellence principles.
  • Confirmed experience technology implied in the cell therapies 
  • Experience in cell therapy or production of cells from human tissue origin is a real plus.
