TheraVet is a vet biotech company headquartered in Belgium (Wallonia) with a US-based subsidiary. TheraVet mission is to develop innovative, safe and effective products to improve the well-being of animals suffering from osteoarticular diseases. TheraVet is developing two product lines: (i) VISCO-VET currently in clinical phase for the treatment of canine osteoarthritis and (ii) BIOCERA-VET developed for applications in bone surgery. Mission Description

Your responsibilities
• Internal :
o Provide veterinary technical input to commercial department supporting the marketing strategy;
o Service any technical queries or complaints to clients (key opinion leaders in universities, private and corporate practices) in order that the company may provide a high quality, professional veterinary sales support for its products;
o Support Business and Commercial Development Manager in its daily tasks;
o Provide comprehensive in-house technical training
• External :
o Introduce TheraVet and develop partnership with key opinion leaders in universities, private and corporate practices and other institutions in Belgium and other countries;
o Identify and exploit new business and technical opportunities
o Participate in written and verbal technical information for publication or presentation at meetings at various levels.

Candidate profile

A European-recognized academic veterinary degree;

  • At least 2-3 years of veterinary practice experience in osteoarthritis, ligament & tendon injuries and bone surgeries in cats and dogs. Experience in horses is a plus;
  • Diplomate in European College of Veterinary Surgeon (ECVS), European Society of Veterinary Orthopaedics and Traumatology (ESVOT) or Veterinary Orthopedic Society (VOS) is a plus;
  • Excellent client-facing skills, both verbally and in writing;
  • Management skills and the ability to work well under pressure;
  • Problem solving oriented skills;
  • Multi-tasking ability and attention to details;
  • Persuasive and able to successfully influence others;
  • Team player;
  • Willing to travel in Belgium and abroad;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in French, Dutch and English.
