Founded in 2005, Graftys develops, manufactures and markets patented synthetic bone biomaterials, in particular new generations of resorbable calcium-phosphate cements, for reconstructive orthopedic surgery. The Company’s products are commercialized in more than 25 countries, including Europe and the United States of America, through distribution partnership. The objective of the Company is to expand the Company product lines by offering new versions of existing products and new products with enhanced regenerative properties. The Company is based in Belgium (Wallonia) and France (Nantes and Aix-En-Provence).

Mission Description

To strengthen its organization, Graftys is looking for a “R&D Project Leader”
In direct contact with the CEO and the research team, your missions will be articulated as follows:
  • You manage the research projects and lead them until the end of the development;
  • You manage grant and subsidies:
- You write grant applications  (R&D, Preclinical, Industrialization…);
- You manage funded grants: providing scientific monitoring, (reporting),  financial (statement of claim…) and administrative (IP, confidentiality…);
  • You coordinate the research project until the end of development with internal and external collaborators and providers;
  • You define, implement and lead the project’s objectives, development plan, resources and risks;
  • You ensure that the project is compliant with regulatory requirements;
  • You compile data, analyze, summarize and present results and you manage scientific reporting ;
  • You report the projects’ advancement to the top management in a structured way.

Candidate profile

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in R&D in the medical device sector (class III/IV);
  • Strong capacity for analysis and synthesis from scientific data;
  • Operate easily in a start-up/biotech environment;
  • Good oral and written communication;
  • Team spirit, reactive to deadlines and problem solving;
  • Rigorous, pro-active and versatile;
  • French and fluent English;
  • Good in tools (Pack Office,…).
