Post-doctoral scientist - Validation of anti-tumoral and anti-inflammatory molecules (M/F)

Gepeceron srl is a recently created spin-off company of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. The mission of the company is to develop novel therapeutic approaches for solid cancers and inflammatory diseases. The main focus is presently on small molecules targeting selected G protein-coupled receptors.

Mission Description

The company is recruiting a post-doctoral scientist for the validation of candidate drugs in cell lines and animal models.

The position is open for one year and will likely be extended.

The selected candidate will be located during this first year in the Institute of Interdisciplinary Research (IRIBHM,, a large biomedical research department of University of Brussels Medical School (ULB), with state of the art facilities and groups active in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, development, cancer, neuroscience and bioinformatics. We provide a stimulating and highly collaborative research environment that is embedded in a network of local,
national and international collaborations.

The position should be filled before the end of August 2020.

Candidate profile

  • We are looking for a PhD-holder candidate with significant theoretical and practical background in molecular and cell biology, genetics and imaging techniques.
  • Experience in the GPCR field, cell signalling and/or mouse models of cancer or inflammatory diseases would be an advantage.
  • The candidate should have excellent independent organizational skills as well as strong collaborative abilities.
  • A good level of written and spoken English is mandatory.
  • The position allows the possibility of professional progression in parallel to the growth of the company.
